Like the Headland itself. the gun battery visitor centre boasts a unique history, situated in the only area to have seen ship-to-shore combat during the First World War. Ran by enthusiastic volunteers the original barrack room is now the visitor centre. See the underground magazines, coastal artillary and the observation tower.
